Change oil and oil filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressure to 32psi
Connected a scan tool and found code P0335 – Crankshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit. Performed a road test while monitoring live scan tool data and observed the crankshaft position sensor parameter was erratic. Inspected the crankshaft position sensor wiring harness and connector and detected no obvious faults. With the ignition on and the engine off, use d amulti-meter to check for the presence of voltage and ground at the crankshaft position sensor connector and found both were present. Backprobed the crankshaft position sensor and performed a road test while monitoring the sensor signal on a lab scope. The crankshaft position sensor signal observed on the lab scope was erratic. These test results verified the crankshaft position sensor was faulty. Removed and replaced crankshaft position sensor, cleared computer trouble codes, drove test vehicle and re-check ok at this time.
