- Connected a scan tool and found code P0672 – Cylinder 2 Glow Plug Circuit/Open. Performed a visual inspection of the glow plugs and the glow plug wiring harness, but found no faults. Key on, engine off, used a multi-meter to check for voltage at glow plug #2, and found voltage was present. Used the multi-meter to measure the resistance of the glow plug #2, and found the measured resistance was out of specifications. This indicated that glow plug #2 was faulty. Replaced the glow plug #2, cleared codes, performed a road test and verified the vehicle operated properly. The check engine light did not illuminate and no fault codes returned.
